Revived Question of the Week

What ONE word would you use to describe yourself. But there is a condition, the word must begin with the first letter of your first name.

And . . . . . comment now.

Jes, i refer you back to the directions. ONE word, and only ONE. You must decide for yourself which word you think best describes you.

ONE

"Dystopian" (which means "an imaginary place which is depressingly wretched and whose people lead a fearful existence")

But I only chose it because it was on the last page of the "D's" in the dictionary (and because the word itself struck me as funny)

Actually, it was either that or "Dysphonia" (which means "defective use of the voice").

Maybe debutante because I used to be one...maybe (I won't tell you for sure).

Stupid letter D...

Deals, you were a Deb, I know you were and you know how to do the Texas Dip in your white ball gown with elbow length gloves. I can picture it now, although I'm picturing a taller version of your sister because you refuse to allow the world to know what you look like, therefore you are an undercover Deb.

K-T, I just wanted to mention that I was looking at upcoming races in Texas, and there's a 2k/4k/10k in Dublin at the Dublin Dr. Pepper plant in June. HA!

That way, you'll burn off all those sugar calories.

4/18/2006 10:11 AM
Katie said...

Running in Texas in JUNE? It's already hitting 100 in April, I would be a puddle of sweat on the road. But then again the 2K sounds simple enough. Gosh I'm such a bad runner. Let's chat though, because for Dublin Dr. Pepper I can handle the heat and the distance.

My first thought was "kinky" but I'm sure that is way too inappropriate, so then I thought "kissable" but I decided I didn't want to hear all the disagreeing comments, so then I thought "kind" but that is a really boring word, and it's not true all the time, so now I'm thinking of using different "c" words and spelling them with a "k", but I guess that's cheating. I suppose I will have to go study the dictionary, and get back with ya' on this!

Katie... did you say "Klingon?"

For me?

Brainiac or Bonehead. Depends on the day.

AM: We are in a fight! A race? And you didn't invite me? Boo!

Actually, I'm not that upset because I was thinking the same thing that Katie said about the weather in Texas that time of the year. I ditto not wanting to be a puddle 'o' sweat.

That said, I think the TOO HOT TO HANDLE race (the summer version of the TOO COLD TO HOLD) is coming up in either July or August.

Although, I did do a large part of my growing up on a central Texas cattle ranch. To get there, you have to go near Dublin, so I'm in the habit of bringing back real DP for my coworks, friends, etc. In fact, I had a real DP after lunch today. Yum.

Deals - We are not in a fight. I'm not even DOING the race. Just mentioning the irony of racing around the DDP plant.

To echo K-T, HARUMPH!

And in a span of about 24 hrs, I successfully talked myself in AND out of an upcoming triathlon. May 7th is in 2 1/2 wks? That's not enough time to train, even if it is a mini one. And I so wanted to do it to. $65 is alot of moolah though. To exercise for one day :(

Some of your words made me laugh, I like how this sometimes limits us from using the ol fallback words to describe ourselves, and then some of you just went crazy with the words (jes and eric) but thanks for playing the game

I generally always have real DP in my fridge. I'd give you some if you didn't live in Oklahoma...

I'd even give you some DESPITE the fact that you were born in Beaumont (a.k.a. Land 'o' Hives).
